$74 Flights to Puerto Rico

Puerto Rico is a wonderful place to visit. Now that you have booked your cheap flight to Puerto Rico, you look forward to landing at the airport. Most likely that airport is Luis Munoz Marin International Airport in San Juan. This air terminal is divided into four ticket counters, one for Delta Airlines, one for American Airlines, one for Continental Airlines, and one for all other airlines. There is one main terminal with two concourses. Luggage is found toward the back of the airport and you can find a duty free shop, a bank, restaurants, and a bar.

You have already found a cheap flight to Puerto Rico, and you will be delightfully surprised to find that getting around in Puerto Rico is just as cheap. From the airport, you will find car rentals, taxis, buses, even limousines to take you to your hotel. If you stay in San Juan you can ride the buses operated by the Metropolitan Bus Authority. If you want to visit other cities, the guaguas are the buses that will take you there. During the week there is also travel by rail. The Tren Urbano connects urban business and residential areas.

There are so many things to do and see in Puerto Rico that no list could really be complete. But here are some of the must-see attractions. The Castillo de San Felipe del Morro is a fortress that has stood for more than 400 years. You can tour there and see both the old cannons and the modern upgrades made by the United States military. Also try to see the Vieques Biobay, preferably at night. You’ll be amazed to see oars glowing green in the water, and all the fish. In addition to all the beaches and urban delights, it is worth the two-hour drive from San Juan to El Yunque, the only tropical rain forest in the U.S. National Forest System.

Having been a tourist destination for many years, the nightlife is vibrant and varied in Puerto Rico. Many hotels operate casinos. Reggaeton is the music you’ll hear in such clubs as El Brava or Club Lazer. The Nuyorican Cafe has live bands if you want to dance the salsa. Or for something different, take the Flavors of San Juan tour and sample delicious food from many of the excellent restaurants in San Juan. All this is well worth the price of the airline fare to Puerto Rico.
