A 26-year-old woman is the 152th fatality of COVID-19

A 26-year-old woman died from COVID-19 in the metro region, so that the number of deaths from this disease rose to 152 today, Saturday, according to the Department of Health .

Similarly, the term confirmed positive case refers to infections whose results were validated by a molecular test. Likewise, the probable case refers to that positive result for the disease that was obtained through serological testing.

Confirmed positive cases

The total of 1,602 confirmed positive cases correspond to 791 women and 811 to men. [19659005] The group of patients between 50 and 59 years of age continues to dominate with the highest number of infections (318), followed by 40 to 49 years (289) and 30 to 39 years (264).

On the other hand, the metropolitan region is the one with the most confirmed positive cases with 557. It is followed by the region of Mayagüez (244) and Bayamón (226).

Vieques and Culebra remain without confirmed cases. While San Juan continues as the municipality with the most infections in this category with 289 cases, followed by Guaynabo (101), Carolina (100) and Bayamón (89). Salud does not yet have available the municipality of 50 confirmed cases.

Probable positive cases

The total of 5,464 probable positive cases is broken down into 2,892 that correspond to women and 2,572 to men.

In this category, the group of patients between 50 and 59 years of age also registered the highest number of likely infected with 1,078, followed by 40 to 49 years (925) and 60 to 69 years (856).

Likewise, the Metro region dominates the statistics with 1,341 probable infected, followed by the Bayamón region (1,039) and the Caguas region (800).

At the municipal level, San Juan dominates the incidence in probable cases with 629, followed by Bayamón (300) and Carolina (218). The agency does not have available the town of 133 probable cases.
