A 5.0 earthquake is recorded east of the Dominican Republic | Others

An earthquake of 5.0 was registered around 6:15 am today in the east of the Dominican Republic and was felt in several sectors of Puerto Rico.

According to the Puerto Rico Seismic Network, the earthquake occurred 54 kilometers south-southeast of Higüey and had a depth of 87 kilometers.

Through social networks, citizens reported having felt it in Lares, Arecibo, Mayagüez, Aguada, Añasco, Moca and in Utuado.

There is no tsunami watch, warning or watch for Puerto Rico or the US Virgin Islands.
