SAN JUAN – A homicide was reported at around 9:00 on Saturday night, on Guayama Street in Hato Rey, the Police reported.
A person called the 9-1-1 Emergency System to alert of detonations and when the agents arrived at the scene of the complaint, they located the body of Carlos Manuel Rivera Rivera, 41, a resident of Hato Rey.
Rivera Rivera had multiple gunshot wounds in different parts of the body. The motive for the murder is being investigated.
Multiple 40- and 45-caliber bullet casings were seized at the site.
Agents assigned to the Homicide Division of the San Juan Criminal Investigation Corps in conjunction with the prosecutor Edmanuel Santiago took charge of the investigation.
So far this year, 17 murders have been reported, the same number as in 2020.
