SEA COW – The executive director of the Northern Region of the Aqueduct and Sewer Authority (AAA), José A. Rivera Ortiz reported that the Morovis Sur filter plant is out of operation due to a low level in the distribution tank due to a pipe damaged in the Cruz Rosario sector.

“Personnel are mobilized first thing in the morning to repair the damaged line. Once the repair is completed and the distribution tank recovers level, the service will be gradually restored ”, explained the official.

As a result, the residents of the sectors of the Morovis municipality that experience low pressure and interruption of service are: Unibón, Morovis Sur, Jobos, Cuchillas, Barahona, Río Grande, Pimiento, Palmas del Sur and La Línea.

Rivera Ortiz added that if there are no complications, the service will be restoring to distant points tonight.

It is recommended that once the service is restored, boil the water that will be used for human consumption for a period of three minutes.
