San Juan – The executive president of the Aqueduct and Sewer Authority (AAA), Ing. Doriel Pagán Crespo, announced on Thursday the project to rebuild the sanitary system for the municipality of Dorado.
“The objective of the work is to improve environmental compliance and increase the capacity of the existing sanitary system, which will allow the connection of new developments in the Municipality of Dorado. A new trunk will be built to the Dorado Sanitary Sewer Plant, a pumping and pre-treatment station at the entrance of the plant. In addition, the project includes the construction of sanitary laterals that will allow the elimination of two pumping stations. The construction cost is $ 23,063,820.00 with an estimated total investment of $ 32,620,554.00, ”Pagán Crespo explained in a written communication.
The engineer added that, “The improvements will benefit 21,108 clients. The design includes plant changes to relocate pretreatment units to a new closed building to reduce objectionable odors. On the other hand, it is important to emphasize that the project will eliminate capacity problems in the Quintas de Dorado urbanization ”.
For his part, the mayor of Dorado, Carlos López Rivera added, “We celebrate that our effort in union with the communities has had results, which will allow development to continue, at full speed in Dorado. With deeds and not words. Here is the proof. This will enable new companies and businesses to continue to establish themselves in Dorado, where everyone wants to come to settle and live, due to its extraordinary quality of life ”.
