AAA announces scheduled work at the Quebradillas and Santa Isabel de Utuado filter plants

ARECIBO – The Arecibo area director of the Aqueducts and Sewers Authority (AAA), Samuel Rosario Vega reported that tomorrow, Wednesday, September 16, 2020, filter washing will be carried out at the Quebradillas filtration plant and membrane washing in the Santa Isabel de Utuado filter plant.

“Both facilities will remain in operation. However, sectors of Quebradillas, Camuy, Lares and Utuado could experience from low pressure to interruption of service ”, explained Rosario Vega.

The sectors that could experience from low pressure to interruption in the drinking water service of the municipality of Utuado are: Santa Isabel, Ángeles, Alturas and Corcho. Likewise, the Los Quemaos, Palma Sola and Alto Grande sectors of the municipality of Lares. The sectors that could be affected in Camuy are: Piedra Gorda, Cienaga, Puertos, Los Méndez and Cibao. Similarly, the Charcas, Margarita and Guajataca sectors of the Quebradillas municipality.
