AAA announces scheduled work on well M in Guánica


Yauco – The Aqueduct and Sewer Authority (AAA) announced that next Wednesday, September 23, brigades of the public corporation will carry out improvement work on well M in the municipality of Guánica.

According to the deputy director of the southern region of the AAA, the engineer, Bruce León Ng, “as part of our commitment to improve the drinking water distribution system, our staff will install a new pump in well M located in the municipality of Guánica . The scheduled works will be carried out next Wednesday, September 23 from 7:00 in the morning until 3:00 in the afternoon ”.

While the work is being carried out, residents of the following communities could experience from low pressure to interruption of service: Siberia Bacó, Urb. Valle Tania, Ensenada urban area, La Montalva, Playa Santa and Guaypao in the municipality of Guánica, as well as Bo . Costa, PR 116, PR 323, Cuesta Blanca, and Salinas Fortuna in the municipality of Lajas.

León Ng, reported that the AAA will have tanker trucks available to distribute drinking water in the affected communities if necessary. Once service is restored, it is recommended to boil the water for three minutes before consuming it.
