The Manatí area director of the Aqueducts and Sewers Authority (AAA), Moisés Romero Rivera, reported that today, Wednesday, personnel from the region will carry out a job of washing the pulsators at the Morovis Sur filter plant.
“The objective of the works is to maintain stability in the production of the service and avoid intermittence in the operation. While the works are being completed, the filtration plant will be operating at low capacity ”, explained the official.
Romero Rivera added that, “if there are no complications, the service will be gradually restored in the afternoon of the same Wednesday. The sectors that will experience from low pressure to interruption of service in the municipality of Morovis are: Unibón, Morovis Sur, Jobos, Cuchillas, Barahona, Río Grande, Pimiento, Palmas del Sur, Praderas, La Línea and Torrecillas ”.
It is recommended that, once the service is restored, the water that will be used for human consumption be boiled for a period of three minutes.
