SAINT SEBASTIANThe director of the Aqueduct and Sewer Authority (AAA) in the Aguadilla area, engineer Nelson Saavedra reported that due to operational problems at the Guajataca Filter Plant in Isabela, and an electrical failure in the Intermediate tank, sectors of San Sebastián and Isabela have a water service interruption.

The affected places in San Sebastián are the neighborhoods Hoyamala, Aibonito Guerrero, Aibonito Beltrán, Cibao, Guajataca and the upper parts of Robles. While in Isabela the subscribers in the Planas neighborhood are without service.

The filtration plant resumed operation in the morning. However, there was a failure in the service of the Electric Power Authority (PREPA) that affects the operation of the tank. Once the electrical service is restored, the recovery of the water supply will continue during the afternoon and evening hours.

Given the possibility of turbidity when restoring the service, it is recommended to boil the water intended for human consumption for three minutes.
