GUAYAMAThe Aqueduct and Sewer Authority (AAA) carries out maintenance work on the Palmasola tank in the Guayama municipality, said the director of the Guayama area of ​​the public corporation, Yessenia Ruiz Pesante.

The official mentioned that the works consist of cleaning the Palmasola distribution tank located in the municipality of Guayama. “While the works are being carried out, residents of various communities in Guayama experience from low pressure to interruption of service. Once the tank washing works are completed, the pertinent protocols will be carried out to guarantee the distribution of quality water to our clients. If no problems arise, the work will be completed on Thursday, January 21, 2021, ”said Ruiz Pesante.

While the works are being carried out, residents of: Palmasola, Cambrene, Javina and Los Morales experience from low pressures to interruption of drinking water service.

As a mitigation measure, the AAA distributes water by tanker to the affected communities. Once the service is restored, it is recommended to boil the water that will be used for consumption for a period of three minutes.
