ARECIBO – The Arecibo area director of the Aqueduct and Sewer Authority (AAA), Samuel Rosario Vega, reported that starting at 9:00 in the morning on Tuesday, a new filter material will be installed in one of the filters of the Mameyes Limón plant in Jayuya.

“Once the filter material is installed, the filter will be washing. These works will run until Thursday, February 25. To minimize service intermittence, the filtration plant will be operating at half capacity. The works are carried out to maintain stability in the service and as part of the improvements to the installation, ”explained Rosario Vega.

The sectors of the Jayuya municipality that could experience low pressure and interruption in the drinking water service are: Las Casitas, La Salsa, Los Marquez, Los Ajos and Colberg parcels Given the possibility of turbidity when the service is restored, it is recommended to boil for three minutes the water intended for human consumption.
