Arecibo – The Arecibo area director of the Aqueduct and Sewer Authority (AAA), Samuel Rosario Vega reported that the washing at the Quebradillas filter plant, scheduled for Thursday, September 24, 2020, has been scheduled for Wednesday , September 23.
“Likewise, filter washing will be carried out on the 27th and 30th of the current month. The facility will remain in operation, however in the afternoon the Piedra Gorda pump station could stop its operation while it recovers level ”, explained Rosario Vega.
The sectors that could experience from low pressure to interruption in the potable water service of the municipality of Quebradillas are: Charcas, Margarita, Palmarito and Guajataca. The sectors that could be affected in Camuy are: Piedra Gorda, Puertos, part of Camuy Arriba and El Calvario.
Given the possibility of turbidity when the service is restored, it is recommended to boil the water intended for human consumption for three minutes.
