AAA reports scheduled work at the Santa Isabel de Utuado filter plant

ARECIBO – The Arecibo area director of the Aqueduct and Sewer Authority (AAA), Samuel Rosario Vega, reported that tomorrow, Wednesday, October 28, 2020, starting at 6:00 in the morning, membrane washing will be carried out in the Santa Isabel de Utuado filter plant.

The sectors that could experience from low pressure to interruption in the drinking water service of the municipality of Utuado are: Santa Isabel, Ángeles, Alturas and Corcho. Likewise, the Los Quemaos, Palma Sola and Alto Grande sectors of the municipality of Lares.

“The facility will be operating at a lower capacity. If no complications occur, the work will be completed in the afternoon of the same Wednesday, ”explained Rosario Vega.

Given the possibility of turbidity when the service is restored, it is recommended to boil the water intended for human consumption for three minutes.
