AAA reports work on filter plant in Humacao | government


The Eastern Region of the Aqueduct and Sewer Authority (AAA) reported that personnel from the Humacao operational area will work on Tuesday, January 26 from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. the installation of a flow meter at the supply outlet of the Humacao filter plant, which will cause from low pressures to interruption of service.

This was reported by the director of the Humacao operational area, José Cruz Alicea.

As explained by the official, “this new equipment will be installed at the water production outlet to the distribution tank. This repair is expected to be completed in a period of eight hours, so if there are no setbacks, that same afternoon service will be restored to the affected sectors ”.

The sectors that could see their supply affected are the residents of the Oriente neighborhood, Olympic Ville, Arenas, Montones 1, 2, 3, 4, Piro Santana, El Espiritista, Boquerón, Collores, Tejas neighborhood and the urban area of ​​the municipality of Las Piedras , as well as Tejas Yabucoa and Tejas Humacao.

Customers are reminded that due to the possibility of turbidity, once service is restored, boil water intended for human consumption for a period of three minutes.
