AGUADILLA – The director of the Operational Area of the Aqueducts and Sewers Authority (AAA) in Aguadilla, Ebdiel Escobar Castro reported this Sunday that the Culebrinas filter plant in Aguadilla operates in low production, due to the high turbidity in the raw waters of the Culebrinas river .

Escobar Castro explained that the plant has been affected since recent days, due to the heavy rains registered in the area, which cause the river to rise and increase the turbidity in the raw water intake.

As a result, subscribers living in Aguada, Moca and the Palmar neighborhood in Aguadilla have from low pressure to interruption of water service.

As a mitigation measure, the distribution of water in tanker trucks is coordinated with the municipal emergency management offices. The recovery of the service, if there are no problems, will be from tomorrow, Monday, June 14.

Once the service has been restored, and due to the possibility of turbidity, it is recommended to boil the water intended for human consumption for three minutes.
