The leader of the Mita Congregation, Teófilo Vargas Seín, known as Aarón, died at the age of 99 after suffering from various health conditions.
The news was confirmed in a press release and on social media by his son, Samuel Beníquez, who said “there is nothing more to say and no more time to continue hiding the truth.”
“To all the parishioners and former parishioners I make a call to union, love, forgiveness, respect and solidarity. Let us forgive each other so that we are forgiven. Let us love so that we are loved. United we are stronger,” he added .
The figure of Aaron stood out as the spiritual leader of the Mita Congregation after the death of Juanita García Peraza, founder of the congregation, whose base is Christianity.
“Today our church celebrates the birth of Aaron to eternal life, rest in peace our beloved father and spiritual leader, Aaron,” said the vice president of the Mita Congregation, Rosinín Rodríguez Pérez.
