AMA and Urban Train operations suspended without notice | government


The new executive order of Governor Wanda Vázquez Garced from today suspended the collective transport service, which includes the Urban Train and the Metropolitan Authority of Buses (AMA).

“Only the 'Call and Travel' program will continue to operate 'under the Department of Transportation and Public Works … Collective transportation services will be suspended during the term of this executive order, "reads the executive order that will be in force until July 31.

The executive order announced in yesterday afternoon allows the transportation services of taxi drivers, public and private carriers for the transportation of passengers and delivery of merchandise.

The services of the buses of the AMA and the Tren Urbano resumed just 11 days ago, after more than three months without service due to the pandemic. These transportation methods operated between 5:30 a.m. and 8:00 at night.
