An earthquake of magnitude 3.49 was registered this afternoon in the municipality of Juana Díaz.
According to the Puerto Rico Seismic Network, the earthquake occurred at latitude 17.9, longitude 66.5 and 15.2 km southeast of Ponce.
There is no tsunami warning for Puerto Rico or the US Virgin Islands.
Residents of the southern part of Puerto Rico reported that they felt the earthquake.
This earthquake is part of the seismic sequence that affects the southern part of the country since December 28, 2019.
