Isabella – The director of the Aqueduct and Sewer Authority (AAA) in the Aguadilla area, engineer Nelson Saavedra reported that the Guajataca Filter Plant will be out of operation this Tuesday, October 6, from 8:00 in the morning to 12: 00 noon.
The official indicated that this interruption is due to scheduled work by the Irrigation Division of the Electric Power Authority (PREPA) in the Guajataca reservoir, which is a source of raw water for the filter plant located in Isabela.
As a result, the subscribers residing in the Hoyamala, Aibonito Guerrero, Aibonito Beltrán, Cibao, Guajataca and the upper parts of Robles in San Sebastián will have interruption of the water service; as well as the Planas de Isabela neighborhood.
Once PREPA completes the work, the filtration plant will resume operation. If there are no setbacks, the service will be restored from the afternoon hours and the high sectors at night.
Given the possibility of turbidity when restoring the service, it is recommended to boil the water intended for human consumption for three minutes.
