
Thousands of clients of the Electric Power Authority (PREPA) were without service in the afternoon of Sunday, as confirmed by UTIER president Ángel Figueroa Jaramillo.
Figueroa Jaramillo explained that the blackout was due to at the exit of the AES generator network. He assured that the number of clients without service increased from 30,000 to 110,000.
The press spokesman for AEE, Edith Seda, confirmed to EL VOCERO that the clients who were affected by this event already have with service.
Previously, PREPA, on social networks, said that they were "in the process of replacing loads due to the departure of AES unit number 2."
In the morning, PREPA reported that the 98 percent of customers had the service.
