The Department of Transportation and Public Works (DTOP) suspended all work at the Driver Services Center (Cesco) in Manatí, after learning that an employee tested positive for Covid-19.
As a consequence of this situation, all people with appointments for transactions in this Cesco de Manatí starting today, at 3:00 pm, will receive a message through the TurnosPR system, indicating that their appointment will be rescheduled for a later date in another Cesco.
Yesterday the closure of Carolina Cesco was reported due to a positive for coronavirus.
The secretary of DTOP, Carlos M. Contreras Aponte, reiterated that “as in the previous cases, in compliance with the protocols applicable to potential or confirmed cases of Covid-19, once it becomes known in a case positive, a protocol was followed as follows. "
It consisted of: suspending operations in the Cesco de Manatí; ordering the carrying out of molecular tests on all employees; closing the facilities to prepare them for disinfection and channeling the reprogramming of the appointments to anyone scheduled to visit.
"Until the facility disinfection is complete, and each employee performs the Covid-19 molecular test, the CESCO in Manati will be closed. Operations only they may be resumed, in due course, with those employees who have given a negative result in the Covid-19 molecular test, "Contreras Aponte concluded.
