Another strong earthquake was reported this afternoon, at about 4:49 pm, in the southern part of the country with an initial magnitude of 5.02, according to the Puerto Rico Seismic Network.
The epicenter occurred at a depth of 2 kilometers. Several users of the social networks indicate that they have felt it. length 66.99. This is 16.1 kilometers south-southwest of Guánica and 17.01 kilometers south-southeast of Lajas.
There is no tsunami warning, warning or vigilance for Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands.

At the time of generating this bulletin, no damage has been reported, but due to its size and location, it cannot be ruled out ”reads the first bulletin of the Network.
After this shock, two other tremors have been reported in the southwest area. The first occurred five minutes later, at 4:54 pm, and had an updated intensity of 3.02.
The second, was reported at 5:17 in the afternoon with an estimated initial magnitude of 3.57 four kilometers deep.
It does not stop shaking
The Seismic Network has reported on its website a total of 25 telluric movements since last Monday, June 29, to this day.
This morning, at around 9:54, an earthquake with a magnitude of 4.9 degrees south-southeast of Lajas and at a depth of six kilometers in the La Parguera area, shook the archipelago.

The mayor of Lajas, Marcos “Turin” Irizarry reported the collapse of a residence in the Maguayo neighborhood in his municipality as a result of the tremor.
In addition, in the early hours of last Sunday, a new wave of tremors shook Puerto Rico and, although they originated again in the town of Guánica -one of the most affected- at least one of them was felt by citizens in far southwest places such as Bayamón, Old San Juan, Orocovis and Guayama.

The National Weather Service in San Juan indicated at that time that a tremor of magnitude 5.3 was felt at about 2:45 am, but soon after they indicated that it was 4.9, citing information from the Geological Survey of U.S. No tsunami threat was generated.
That same day, in the afternoon, another shaking with a magnitude of 4.5 occurred in the south of Puerto Rico. The epicenter was at a depth of 13 kilometers with a maximum intensity of V. in Guánica.
