Authorities classify the death of a man in San Juan as suspicious

SAN JUAN – A suspicious death was reported at around 2:11 a.m. on Monday, on Galileo Street in the Jardines Metropolitanos urbanization, in Río Piedras, the Police reported.

According to preliminary information on the incident, the authorities were alerted through a phone call about a possible attack at the scene.

Upon reaching the complaint site, they found the body of a man with blows to different parts of his body. The person has not been identified.

According to witnesses to the incident, noises were heard in front of a residence and then they noticed a man lying down and injured.

Preliminarily it was indicated that the injured man died at the scene after receiving blows with a blunt object on different parts of his body.

Personnel from the Institute of Forensic Sciences and the prosecutor on duty are on the scene and are working on the scene to determine the circumstances of the death.

Agents attached to the Homicide Division of the San Juan CIC are investigating the incident.
