Due to the activation of the protocol at the Luis Muñoz Marín Airport to verify if a suitcase contains explosive material, the airline’s luggage registration and check-in areas in terminals B and C are currently under arrest.
This was confirmed by the Aerostar press office, who indicated that “passengers who do not have a suitcase to check in, can register online and those who already have a boarding ticket can access through terminal A”.
This morning an unattended suitcase was found, so the protocol was activated and part of the Luis Muñoz Marín Airport was evicted. Although the owner of it appeared, the dogs of the explosives division of the Puerto Rico Police Bureau marked the suitcase as positive.
To questions from Metro, it could not be specified if flights could be affected by the situation.
