Board approves reallocation of funds to the Institute of Statistics | government


The Fiscal Control Board announced the approval of a reallocation of $ 327,000 for the Puerto Rico Institute of Statistics (IEPR).

“For FY21, the Institute of Statistics has a budget of $ 1.7M, a higher figure compared to the $ 1.67M of FY20. The Board approved this week a reallocation of $ 327,000 for operational expenses ”, indicated the entity.

The reallocation includes $ 103,000 for payroll to full-time employees, which now amounts to $ 376,000 in the revised budget. It also includes an additional $ 4,000 for medical assistance.

The governing body also approved an additional $ 10,000 for the service of the Electric Power Authority (PREPA) and $ 3,000 for the Aqueduct and Sewer Authority (AAA), line that did not have assigned funds.

Other operating expenses that saw an increase in funds with the reallocation include rent, maintenance and repairs.
