Businesses in Hatillo and Morovis are closed and fined for violating the Governor’s executive order

HATILLO and MOROVIS – Several businesses in Hatillo and Morovis were fined and closed after being inspected by personnel from various government agencies and finding that they did not comply with the protocols established in Executive Order 2020-066 and other provisions of law or regulations, the Police confirmed this Sunday .

The interventions were made in Morovis and Hatillo, on Friday, September 25 and Saturday, September 26, where they found that some establishments did not comply with the use of a mask, physical distancing, sale and consumption of alcoholic beverages and permits, among others.

Three businesses were closed in Hatillo

El Colmado Rivera, which is located on Highway 129 in the Bayaney Neighborhood, The New Pollerin, on Highway 455 kilometer 2.5 and La Cueva del Mojito, on Highway 486 kilometer 14, in Hatillo, were closed by the authorities.

Intervened businesses

In the Colmado Bar La Gran Parada, which is located on Highway 155, branch 567 of Barrio Pasto in Morovis, we intervened with Guillermo Otero, owner of the establishment. The Electric Power Authority (PREPA) issued a fine of $ 5,000 to Otero and the Department of the Treasury fined him $ 500.

At Colmado La Mina, located on highway 633 kilometer 4.2 of the Barahona neighborhood in Morovis, we intervened with Severo Rivera Pagán, owner of the business. The Planning and Permitting Board issued a fine of $ 1,000 to Rivera Pagán.

At the Colmado Bar La Reforma, located on highway 634 kilometer 3.9 in the Franquez neighborhood in Morovis, we intervened with Mario L. Rolón Lozano, owner of the establishment. The Planning and Permitting Board fined him $ 1,000 for violating Executive Order 2020-066 and the Department of the Treasury issued him a $ 500 fine.

In the Los Tacos business, which is located on highway 130 in the Naranjito neighborhood in Hatillo, we intervened with Walter Carrión Ruiz, owner of the establishment. The Department of the Treasury issued him a fine of $ 500.

In the Colmado Betancourt, which is located in the Pajuil neighborhood in Hatillo, there was an intervention with Severo Rivera Pagán, owner of the business. The Department of the Treasury fined him $ 1,000.

In La Terraza, which is located on highway 2 kilometer 84.4 of the Carrizales neighborhood, La Palma sector in Hatillo, we intervened with William Cestero Cruz, owner of the place. The Department of the Treasury fined him $ 500.

At Atlantic Colmado Cafetín, located on highway 2 kilometer 84 of the Barrio Carrizales sector Palma Gorda in Hatillo, there was an intervention with Noemí Rivera Lisboa, owner of the place. The Department of the Treasury fined her $ 500.

On the other hand, several businesses in Morovis intervened with people who violated the provisions of Executive Order 2020-066. The establishments complied with the order.

The Police issued 13 tickets for not wearing a mask, according to Executive Order 2020-066 and 16 tickets for Traffic Law 22.
