Caguas and Fajardo prosecutors quarantined | government

A group of prosecutors from the Caguas and Fajardo Prosecutors are quarantined “in a preventive manner.”

“Pursuant to the Contingency and Protection Plan for Justice Department officials before Covid-19 (Plan of Contingency) in the Prosecutors of Caguas and Fajardo, and protocols for employees have been activated preventively. They will remain in their homes in quarantine and undergo a Covid-19 screening test as soon as possible, "said Chief Prosecutor Arlene Gardon Rivera in written statements sent to EL VOCERO .

EL VOCERO learned that the quarantines are related to cases that prosecutors have handled in recent days.

The Chief Prosecutor assured that at the moment no positive cases have been reported in the group of prosecutors. Gardon Rivera added that "no employee may return to their workplace until a negative result is presented to Covid-19."

In addition, he reported that the Courts Administration was notified to make the corresponding arrangements in the schedules. "Therefore, no employee may return to their workplace until they present a negative result for Covid-19," he said. He added that they also preemptively activated the deep cleaning protocols in the prosecutors' offices.

"We are safeguarding the health of our employees and taking the necessary precautionary measures," concluded Gardon Rivera.
