Arecibo – A man identified as Reynaldo González Báez was accused of non-compliance with a protection order, mistreatment and the Police reported this Tuesday.
González Báez, 54, a resident of Arecibo, committed the violations of the law on the afternoon of Sunday, October 18 of this year, in the Carreras sector of Arecibo, against his partner.
Agent Edwin Rivera, from the Arecibo area Domestic Violence Division, together with prosecutor Linda Sepúlveda, filed the charges against González Báez.
Judge Ángela Díaz Escalera, of the Court of First Instance of Arecibo, determined cause for the crimes and set a global bond of 40 thousand dollars to González Báez, who could not pay it for what he was admitted to the Bayamón jail.
An indictment is only an indictment and is not evidence of guilt. The accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
