The Secretary of Justice Domingo Emanuelli Hernández and the Aguadilla District Attorney José Aldebol Colón reported that Judge Juan M. Guzmán Escobar of the Aguadilla Court of First Instance determined probable cause for the arrest of Edwin Soto Medina for lewd acts against two minors old, setting him a bond of $ 25,000.
The investigation of the case was conducted by prosecutor José I. Rivera Loperena in coordination with Agent Mónica Ubiñas of the Aguadilla Sexual Crimes Division. The events occurred between June and September 2019 in Aguada, when the defendant committed improper conduct with the minors on multiple separate occasions.

The accused Soto Medina was charged with two charges for Article 133 Lewd Acts of the Puerto Rico Penal Code.
The defendant provided the bail imposed by the judge. The preliminary hearing was scheduled for February 9, 2021.
