The president of the State Elections Commission (CEE), Juan Ernesto Dávila Rivera, announced that due to the delay in receiving ballots, several voting centers for the primaries of the New Progressive Party (PNP) and the Popular Democratic Party (PPD) will not be able to open during the established hours

The political parties suggested a remedy to guarantee the vote of all voters. Access will be guaranteed to all voters to exercise their right to vote.

The voting centers of the PNP primary in the electoral precincts of San Juan I to Barceloneta 25 will open at the designated time of 8:00 a.m. at 4:00 p.m.

On the other hand, in the centers of both primaries located in the remaining municipalities, eight hours of voting will be guaranteed. To this end, in all polling stations an opening act will be filled out in order to be certain when the voting began there.

Likewise, the officials of the polling station will be instructed that they will not be able to transmit or disclose the results until the 8:00 pm
