CEE approves that those who voted in advance can take the ballots to the JIP

San Juan -The State Elections Commission (CEE) approved that voters who requested an early vote by mail can deliver their voted ballots to the nearest Permanent Registration Board, reported on Saturday, the electoral commissioner of the Puerto Rican Independence Party (PIP), Roberto Iván Aponte Berríos.

“I congratulate the EEC, both the President and the Electoral Commissioners of the other parties for having accepted this PIP proposal. The idea arose with the aim of making it easier for the voter to deliver the ballots in a place close to their home, to give them more confidence in the face of the doubts that many have expressed with the mail service and to ensure that those voted ballots arrive as soon as possible to the Roberto Clemente Coliseum ”, expressed Aponte Berríos in written statements.

The PIP commissioner added that “this effort ensures that the largest number of ballots are counted days prior to the general elections, enabling more precise results to be released on the night of November 3, giving the country peace of mind.”
