Camuy Health Services denounced today, Thursday, a delay in the delivery of vaccines against COVID-19 by the government of Puerto Rico.
According to a press release, the health institution alleged that it has not received the vaccines offered by the Health Department about two weeks ago.
“We have been notified twice of dates for the delivery of vaccines for our health center. However, they have not provided us with a satisfactory explanation to change the delivery dates “, said the executive director of Camuy Health Services, Eddie Pérez.
As part of the vaccination process against COVID-19, 330 Primary Health Centers were selected to receive vaccines in the first phase, 1A.
“At the moment, there is no reason why, within the vaccine distribution process, there is a delay in the delivery of the vaccines that correspond to us, as we had been notified. Our center has met all the requirements of the CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention), the Department of Health and have trained and trained personnel to administer vaccines at the time of receiving them “, Pérez said.
