Charges against individual for violation of the Controlled Substances Law in Ponce

PONCE – On Saturday, October 24, 2020, 3 charges were filed for Article 401 of Controlled Substances against James Thomas Pew Morales, 33, who was arrested in the middle of an investigation on the premises of the José N. Gándara Residential, in Ponce.

According to information received, these were due to events that occurred on October 23, 2020, where agents assigned to the Ponce Drug and Narcotics Division, while conducting an investigation in the area of ​​corrals or stables, located on the premises of the José N. Gándara residential area in Ponce, intervened with an individual identified as James Thomas Pew Morales, where he was seized, 103 Heroin Decks, 18 Cocaine bags, 13 Crack bags, 33 bags and 2 Marijuana flakes and $ 518 in cash.

This intervention was carried out by agent Mario Vargas under the supervision of Sergeant Alberto Cintrón. This case was consulted before the Prosecutor Alberto Flores, who instructed that complaints be filed for violation of the Controlled Substances Law.

The arrested person was brought before the presence of Judge Ángel Candelario Cáliz, who after evaluating the evidence presented, determined cause for 3 charges to the Controlled Substances Law and imposed a bond of $ 15 thousand, which was provided.
