The assault unit of the Homicide Division of the CIC of San Juan, reported that criminal charges were filed for mistreatment of the elderly and the law of weapons, against Víctor J. Rosario Rivera, 68 years old and a resident of San Juan, for acts occurred at 2:00 in the afternoon on September 19, 2020, in the Israel neighborhood in Hato Rey.
The investigation arises that Rosario Rivera used a metal tube to attack a 72-year-old man in different parts of the body, causing him an open wound on his left arm, multiple bruises and a contusion on his forehead that affected his vision in the left eye.
The case was consulted with the prosecutor Rosalyn García, who instructed to file for the aforementioned crimes. He was presented before Judge Jimmy Sepúlveda, who determined the cause of the crimes, indicating a bond of $ 30,000, which he paid and was released until the day of the preliminary hearing.
Agent Daniel Torres Navarro, assigned to the Homicide unit of the San Juan Criminal Investigation Corps, was in charge of the investigation.
