Ponce – As reported by the Police, this Monday in the Investigation Chamber of the Ponce Court, charges were filed against Raúl A. Nieves Sánchez, 19, for articles 59 of Law 246 (Negligence) Law for Security, Welfare and Protection of Minors.
From the information received by the Domestic Violence Division, on October 25, in the Peñuelas District Precinct, a case of domestic violence was reported.
A man identified as Raúl Nieves Sánchez and who, using his hands, attacked his consensual partner in different parts of the body. These events reportedly occurred in the presence of her three minor children.
This case was referred to the Domestic Violence Division, where agent Arlene Rosario took charge of the corresponding investigation and was consulted with the prosecutor Carmen Santana, who instructed to file complaints for two charges under article 3.2 of Aggravated Abuse of Law 54 and 3 charges to article 59 of Law 246.
Nieves Sánchez was brought before the presence of Judge Mayra E. Peña, who after evaluating the evidence presented, determined cause for the three charges to article 54 of the Law of 246 (Negligence against minors) and No Cause for the charges of Abuse Aggravated, imposing a total bond of $ 15 thousand, which was loaned.
