SAN JUAN – The COVID-19 pandemic will not stop the presence of Santa Claus and Los Reyes Magos in the Plaza Las Américas and Plaza Del Caribe shopping centers. Both malls will have an acrylic or plexiglass protection system strategically located between the family or the child who will take the photo and Santa, thus maintaining the recommended distancing measures. In the same way, the visit of the Three Wise Men will take place and to avoid crowds, the photos will require prior reservation that they can make in the PLAZA APP.

“Santa Claus and Los Reyes Magos are an important Christmas tradition for many families and this year we will continue the experience in a different and safe way for everyone,” said Iris Ayala, Marketing Director of Plaza Las Américas. “The idea is to allow children and their families to enjoy an experience without contact with Santa or Los Reyes,” said Ayala.

The visits and photos taken in both shopping centers will be carried out through the PLAZA App, available free of charge for both IOS and Android phones. When downloading the application, families will find a button that reads “Reserve for Christmas Events.” When you press this button, the “Photo with Santa” section appears where you can start the reservation process by selecting “Reserve here”. Then, you choose the day, the block of time you are interested in taking the photo, the available offers and make the payment in advance. Photos with Santa will be held from November 21 to December 24 and photos with Los Reyes Magos from December 26 to January 5 in both shopping centers.

“This year, we are all looking for a little magic in our lives and a visit to Santa or Los Reyes Magos is an experience that is never forgotten,” said Susana Santiago, Marketing Director of Plaza Del Caribe. “In both shopping centers we will have that magic and that fun, focused on the health and well-being of all,” said Santiago.

Also children and their families will be able to enjoy the traditional snow fall; This experience is also reserved through the PLAZA App. For this, in the button “Reserve for Christmas Events” the section “Fall Snow” also appears. Users press “Reserve here”, select the date, the time block and where they want the QR Code to be sent to them, whether to their email or telephone. The system will issue a QR Code that they must show the day they go to their reservation for “Cae Nieve”. It is important to note that the reservation is for a maximum of 4 people per family.

Both for taking photos and for falling snow, what so far have been the best prevention practices for COVID-19 will continue to be used: use of a mask at all times, maintain a distance of between 6 to 9 feet between people and the reinforcement of surface cleaning between visits.
