Confirmed and probable cases of Covid-19 amount to 18,411 | government


The Health Department report reported five deaths from Covid-19; meanwhile, 224 confirmed cases and 276 additional probable cases were registered.

With this, there are 18,411 confirmed and probable cases since the pandemic began in the country.

Of the reported fatalities, four were classified as confirmed and correspond to a 93-year-old woman from the Bayamón region; a 62-year-old man from the Metro region; a 64-year-old man from the Bayamón region and a 79-year-old man from the Aguadilla region.

In addition, a probable death corresponding to a 92-year-old woman from the Metro region was reported.

With these reported deaths, the total of confirmed deaths add up to 119 and the probable ones are 111, therefore, the total of deaths is 230. Salud noted that any death recorded after the report was issued will be reflected in subsequent reports.

on the other hand, the total of the results of confirmed cases of Covid-19 is 6,835. The total was adjusted after adding 68 cases; with the date of sample collection from July 7 to 15. Of that total, 3,455 are women and 3,380 men. The reported cases are those that have a positive PCR test, with a sample collection date of July 16 to 30.

As part of the report, 276 additional probable cases were registered, with a sample collection date of 17 as of July 30, 2020. In this line, the total is 11,576, after being adjusted, by subtracting 35 cases that had a positive molecular test, subsequently, and were added to the cases registered as part of this report. Likewise, six cases with a sample collection date of May 20 to June 18 were added. Probable cases are divided into 6,360 women and 5,216 men.
