Coronavirus deaths rise to 443 in Puerto Rico

The Department of Health reported today eight deaths by coronavirus, 359 confirmed cases and 238 probable cases additional items in your report that you issue daily.

Of the eight deaths, five were listed as confirmed and correspond to an 89-year-old man from the Ponce region, a 53-year-old man from the metro region, a 72-year-old man from the metro region, a 72-year-old man from the Bayamón region and a 78-year-old man of the metro region.

The others three deaths were recorded as probable and correspond to a 46-year-old woman from the Ponce region, an 89-year-old man from the Bayamón region and a 93-year-old woman from the metro region.

With these fatalities, the Total coronavirus deaths increased to 443, and they are divided into 293 confirmed and 150 probable

On the other hand, the total confirmed case results is 15,942, of which 8,340 are women and 7,602 are men. The total was adjusted after adding two cases with a sampling date of July 25 and August 13. In addition, three duplicate cases were subtracted. The cases reported are those that have a positive PCR test, with a sample collection date of August 17-30.

Meanwhile, the 238 additional probable cases have a sampling date that ranges from August 17 to 30. In this row, the total is 18,061 after subtracting 44 cases that subsequently had a positive molecular test and were added to this report. Also, two duplicate cases were subtracted and 32 cases were added with a sample collection date from April 13 to July 23. Probable cases are divided into 9,939 women and 8,121 men. One case remains under investigation in this area.

He dashboard of Health indicates that 373 people are hospitalized by coronavirus. In addition, it indicates that 71 adult patients are in intensive care and 53 are connected to a ventilator.
