Coronavirus hospitalizations rise to 495 in Puerto Rico


The updated information on the digital dashboard on data for the coronavirus COVID-19 reports an increase in hospitalizations on the Island due to the coronavirus.

The total number of hospitalizations in Puerto Rico for COVID-19 reached 495, 26 more than what had been reported yesterday.

However, of the total number of people hospitalized, the intensive and ventilator patients remained in the same number of people, 66 and 37 respectively.

Currently on the Island 5,700 confirmed cases of the coronavirus have been reported, a figure that increased with the 115 announced this morning.

In the case of deaths, an increase was reported with 2 additional confirmed cases reported today, increasing the total to 106.

Currently, 3,108 adult beds are available on the Island in hospitals, and 226 in the intensive care area. In the case of pediatric beds, Salud reports that there are about 950 available while in the intensive care area there are about 66.
