Courts will remain in their phase 2 reopening with limited operation

The Administrative Director of the Courts, Siegfried Steidel Figueroa, reported today that the Judicial Branch will not alter the work currently being carried out in its premises under the second phase of reopening. For the time being, the hours of operations will remain from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, and the limited attention to matters will continue in person and through the videoconference system.

“The evaluation of judicial work is continuous. We remain attentive to the development of the COVID-19 virus, so we will maintain the rigorous application of the social distancing and public control measures already adopted as well as the multiple prevention measures that include the use of masks at all times and cleaning and sanitizing continuous of work areas. The court operation will continue on a limited basis, seeking access to justice without putting our staff or citizens who need our services at risk ”, said the Administrative Director of the Courts.

Steidel Figueroa explained that the use of videoconferencing will continue to be expanded to attend to judicial matters and remote work will continue to be promoted. He also urged employees to be attentive to instructions from their supervisors regarding work plans.
