Covid-19: 11 deaths and 1,212 new cases on the Island | government

The Department of Health reported in its report 11 additional deaths from Covid-19, as well as 1,212 new positive cases between confirmed and probable.

According to the agency, the 11 deaths reported today occurred in November and January, totaling 1,812 fatalities since the emergency began in March last year.

Meanwhile, it was indicated that the total of new infections includes cases with samples taken between January 13, 2021 and January 27, 2021. The total number of cases since the pandemic began is 160,787.

Bayamón region

Caguas Region

  • 76-year-old man
  • 81-year-old woman

Fajardo region

Mayagüez Region

  • 85-year-old woman
  • 92-year-old woman

Metro Region

  • 86-year-old woman
  • 93-year-old man

Ponce region

On the other hand, the total number of cases confirmed by molecular testing (PCR) now amounts to 86,302 after adding 356 cases.

Probable cases total 6,666 with 123 new cases.

Meanwhile, 733 suspected cases put the total number of infections by positive serological test at 67,819.

On the other hand, the Health ‘dashboard’ reflected 280 hospitalized by Covid-19.
