Covid-19: 12 deaths and 614 additional cases on the Island | government


The Department of Health reported today in its report 12 additional deaths from Covid-19, as well as 614 new cases, between confirmed and probable.

The death toll from Covid-19 now stands at 1,642, between confirmed and probable.

Breakdown of deaths by region:

Metro Region

  • 56-year-old man
  • 79-year-old man
  • 69 year old man

Bayamón region

  • 85-year-old woman
  • 55 year old woman
  • 89-year-old woman

Ponce region

Arecibo region

  • 64-year-old man
  • 86-year-old man
  • 74-year-old woman

Caguas Region

  • 89-year-old woman
  • 56-year-old man

On the other hand, the total number of cases confirmed by molecular testing (PCR) now amounts to 77,927 after adding 303 cases.

Probable cases total 5,541 with 92 new cases.

Meanwhile, 219 suspected cases placed the total number of infections by positive serological test at 58.872.

On the other hand, the Health ‘dashboard’ reflected 392 hospitalized by Covid-19, 10 fewer patients in the past 24 hours.
