COVID-19: Health reports eight deaths and 57 confirmed cases


The Department of Health reported today eight deaths by COVID-19, 57 confirmed cases Y 19 probable cases additional.

Of the reported deaths, six were listed as confirmed. These correspond to a 68-year-old man from the Mayagüez region, a 67-year-old man from the Bayamón region, a 40-year-old woman from the Ponce region, a 92-year-old woman from the Caguas region, a man from 57 years old from the Ponce region and a 95 year old man from the Bayamón region.

In addition, two probable deaths corresponding to an 82-year-old woman from the Aguadilla region and an 81-year-old man from the Mayagüez region.

With these additional deaths, the confirmed deaths total 648 and the probable deaths are 202, so the total deaths is 850.

On the other hand, the total of confirmed case results is 35,807, of which 19,277 are women and 16,530 are men. The reported cases are those that have a positive PCR test, with sampling date from October 26 to 31.

Meanwhile, the 19 additional probable cases have sampling date from October 26 to November 1. In this line, the total is 33,213 after subtracting two cases that had a positive molecular test, later, and were added to the cases registered as part of this report. In addition, three cases were added with a sampling date of October 1 to 25. Probable cases are divided into 18,557 women and 14,656 men.

The dashboard Health adds that due to coronavirus there is 459 people hospitalized Y 30,568 convalescent.

In addition, it indicates that there are 60 adult patients in intensive care for COVID-19. It also mentions that 46 adult patients are connected to a ventilator due to the virus.
