COVID-19: Health Reports Three Deaths and 840 Additional Confirmed Cases


The Department of Health reported today three deaths additional for COVID-19, as indicated in its report that it emits daily.

The agency noted that the total deaths reached 1,645. The number is divided into 1,365 confirmed deaths and 280 probable.

According to Salud, the three deaths correspond to a 74-year-old man from the Arecibo region, an 80-year-old man from the Ponce region, and a 64-year-old man from the Mayag├╝ez region.

In addition, 840 new confirmed cases of coronavirus by molecular tests (RT-PCR) positive. The total of confirmed cases adds up 78,815.

Similarly, Salud reported 143 new probable cases detected through antigen testing. The total of probable cases increased to 5,612.

He also reported 954 new suspected cases, these by positive serological tests. The total of suspected cases increased to 60,006.

Meanwhile, the dashboard Health adds that due to coronavirus there is 390 hospitalized people and 73,760 convalescent.

In addition, it indicates that there are 76 adult patients and 1 pediatric patient in intensive care by COVID-19. It also mentions that 73 adults are connected to a ventilator due to the virus.
