SAN JUAN – The US pharmacy chains, CVS and Walgreens, will begin in Puerto Rico next Monday to vaccinate the elderly in nursing homes.
This was assured this Thursday to the “Sin Tapujos” space of the WIAC 780 am station, the adjutant general of the National Guard, José Reyes.
“Next Monday CVS and Walgreens begin their efforts with what are the aegis and homes for the elderly, we are talking about 1,600 and there we are attending stage 1A. We are talking that by mid-January then we will start with stage 1B ”, said the general.
“We are developing an application so that people can make appointments,” added Reyes, who acknowledged that despite some setbacks, shifts are progressing and can be improved.
By mid-January it is expected that there will be a total of eleven vaccination centers.
