The Secretary of the Department of the Family, Carmen Ana González, and the administrator of the Socioeconomic Development Administration (Adsef) of the Family, Alberto Fradera announced the start of the March broadcast of the Pandemic EBT (P-EBT) program, fulfilling the second month of issuances with a disbursement totaling $ 44.6 million.
“Today began the disbursement of the second month of benefits from the P-EBT of food assistance, a program that provides over 270 thousand students with fundamental support to take care of their health and well-being. It is important that families know the calendar of emissions for the month, since the date is determined based on the last digit of the social security of the account manager. Today corresponds to the families of the digit 0 ”, explained the owner.
For his part, the Adsef administrator reported that “families must be certain that this food assistance is guaranteed and will be received by all eligible students accordingly. The issues for the month of March were processed smoothly and are reflected in the accounts of the beneficiaries ”.
The project also continues with the third phase that serves students from schools and non-profit organizations, of which there are already validated and eligible data from 128 schools and entities. The list of entities is published daily on the portal pr.gov/pebt/.
“We continue to issue new cards daily with the benefits of applications received through the portal, from students who are not beneficiaries of the PAN and students from private and non-profit school entities,” explained the administrator.
“Once the Family Card arrives, we encourage you to establish an account at www.ebtpr.com to check your balance and transactions made. The card can be activated by calling the number that appears on the back of the card, or using the provisional PIN that comes by mail separately ”, he added.
The resources of the P-EBT can be used for the purchase of unprepared food in the more than three thousand certified shops of the PAN and in the Family Markets. Each monthly disbursement can be used for up to a period of six months, so families do not have to make use of the total assistance in a single month.
Families can contact the P-EBT Service Center by calling (787) 705-8350, available from Monday to Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. and Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. pm or access the link pr.gov/pebt/ to consult the data of the schools.
