DNER extends validity of boat tags | government

The Secretary of Natural and Environmental Resources (DNER), Rafael Machargo Maldonado, issued administrative order 2020-03F in order to clarify the terms of the previous provision, which extends the validity of expired boat tags as of March of 2020, until January 31, 2021.

This determination also covers permits, licenses, concessions, authorizations, consultations, certifications and endorsements issued under all DNER programs (including those of the former Environmental Quality Board), since due to the high demand for applications and that services have been seen affected by the social distancing protocols, this measure is necessary, according to the official.

Machargo Madonado said that the requirements for submitting requests for renewals with an expiration or expiration date on any day of the month March 2020 until the date of this order will be ignored, so the administrative extension of validity will continue in effect until the DNER process and issue the corresponding final renewal.

Even with the extension granted, citizens and the regulated community are urged to present their renewal requests on time and that if the need arises to request an extension for just cause to present it, they must do so to the Secretary of the DNER with a copy of the corresponding program of the DRNA, which at its discretion will grant 45 days for the presentation.
