Puerto Rico – The sky was mostly clear across Puerto Rico during the night hours. The wind was light and variable over land. Minimum temperatures ranged from the low 50s in the high elevations to the low 70s in the coastal areas.
By today, the remnants of a frontal area will move through the region from the waters of the Caribbean under a flow of light to moderate winds from the southeast. This will increase the available humidity and downpour activity is expected with possible isolated thunderstorms induced by local effects during the afternoon, over the interior and northern half of Puerto Rico. Maximum temperatures will be between the medium to high 80 degrees.
Across regional waters, swell will fluctuate between 3 and 5 feet overall with winds between 10 and 15 knots from the southeast today. There is a moderate risk of ocean currents for the beaches from the northwest to northeast coast of Puerto Rico.
