DRNA to Begin Appointment Shift Service | government

The secretary of the Department of Natural and Environmental Resources (DRNA), Rafael Machargo Maldonado announced that, starting Monday, July 6, the Office of the Commissioner of Navigation will begin to offer its services through the platform .

The platform will be available to request appointments beginning on Saturday, July 4 for the regions of San Juan, Arecibo, Aguadilla, Humacao, Guayama, Ponce, Vieques and Culebra.

"Through the platform citizens will be able to choose the day, time and office where they will be attended to avoid long lines and maintain social distance," said Machargo Maldonado.

It is important to note that, starting on Monday, July 6, the service will not be offered by car service as it was done to date. From Monday onwards, it will be attended strictly by appointment.

Citizens will be able to carry out the following procedures:

• Vessel registration / registration and duplicate boat license documents / ship-registration /

• Transfer / transfer (include duly notarized purchase / sale contract) /

• Label renewal

• Duplicados de marbete

• Navigation license

At the moment no services will be offered at the Mayagüez regional office, located in Hormigueros. Similarly, the licenses and duplicates of navigation, for the moment, will only be carried out in San Juan, Arecibo and Guayama.

It will be reported when the service is available in the rest of the offices.

"We recommend to citizens who access the DRNA page prior to making their appointment online to verify the documents that they need for the procedure they are going to carry out and their visit is productive, "the secretary concluded.

The application is available free of charge for phones with iPhone and Android operating systems .
